DOGGED
A
company, feeling it was time for a shake-up, hires a
new CEO. This
new boss is determined to rid the company of all slackers.
On a tour of the facilities, the CEO notices a guy leaning
on a wall. The room is full of workers and he thinks
this is his chance to show everyone he means business! The
CEO walks up to the guy and asks, "And how much money
do you make a week?"
Undaunted,
the young fellow looks at him and replies," I make
$200.00 a week. Why?"
The
CEO then hands the guy $200 in cash and screams, "Here's a week's pay,
now GET OUT and don't come back!" Feeling
pretty good about his first firing, the CEO looks around
the room and asks, "Does anyone want
to tell me what that slacker did here?"
With
a sheepish grin, one of the other workers mutters, "He's
the pizza delivery guy!"
DOCTOR THE DRUNK
As
the doctor completed an examination of the patient, he
said, "I can't find a cause for your complaint.
Frankly, I think it's due to drinking."
"In that
case," said the patient, "I'll
come back when you're sober"
CHICKEN?
Why
did the chicken cross the road?
To get away from Colonel
Sanders!
Now that
one clucked!

MacMuser -
Scott Bruce is a professional comedian who likes to work
Macs into his act. A few of his classic lines
are that "IBM means, 'I'm glad I bought a Mac'" and "DOS
stands for 'Do it Over Stupid.' I usually get
away with it," Bruce says. "Although they don't
agree with me, they're laughing." Bruce is an avid
Mac user who often helps other comedians with their computers
while on the road. Is it that they don't
agree, or just don't get it?! - from Wired
MS:
Suspicious Settlement - Microsoft
has settled with Florida residents to pay up to $202
million in
vouchers, after
being accused of charging customers too much. Vouchers
will be used to obtain equipment and software, and half
of the unclaimed vouchers will be donated to Florida schools.
Apple is concerned that Microsoft may be trying to wedge
its way into the education market by donating their vouchers
to the schools. - from PC Pro
Beatle
Germs Up For Bid - Ian Mears, a British
fan of Paul McCartney, is selling cold germs on the
British ebay
website that he claims he got from the former Beatle. Mears
said he met McCartney in person and proceeded to catch
a cold from him. The fan will cough into a resealable bag
and mail the bag to the highest bidder. The item has two
bids so far, the highest one being $2. I've
heard of Beatles For Sale, but this one is ridiculous!

At
The Top -
Hope your Tuesday was not too taxing! But now it's
Wednesday and time for our the mid-week Wednesday
Desktop Edition. This translates into great desktops,
Community News, News On the Net, and Bananas on the
slide. Let's skip right to it and get down
to business. Shall we?!!
New GOO!
New Desktops -
A great set of 7 New Desktop works is what we have on
hand to get your eyeballs poppin' pixel sideways! Hold
them sockets and get ready to be pixel pleased!
Nature -
Spring is bustin' out at Prevision as
we bring you an absolutely beautiful selection titled Hvid
Blomst.
This colorful piece from Jack Juliussen translates as "White
Flower" in English. Absolutely amazing work, Jack!
3-D
Rendered -The Great GUI One, Mr. Scott Chitwood,
brings Beneath
Between somewhere above and beyond the
ever imaginative galleries of Rampant
Mac. There's
nothing like a great big gob of green goo to spiff
up your desktop in a real big hurry!
There
are obviously little limits to the abilities of Juergen
Eilts, real time reality bender of ShiftedReality.
Juergen pushes the digital domain to the Limit with
the selection of the same name. This great piece was
created with Vue d'Esprit 4.1 and was an
entry for Prizm Break's Black and White Contest.
Desktops -
Strumming up a stir in our Desktop Department is Michael
Heath with 6
String Guitar. Michael gets right
up close from Down Under with this musical work and is
sure to keep your desktop from singin' the blues. Another
marvelous piece!
Evan
Kaufman is back once again with style and simplicity
as he sports Simple
Tech. This easy-on-the-eyes desktop comes
straight from the classy collections of EMKdesign and is
guaranteed to make for a clean, uncluttered desktop x-perience!
Talk
about technology! Adam Dickson of Pictures
and Adicons brings the techy
side out in everyone with a Chip off
the old CPU block! Adam is one of the finest
photorealistic desktop creators you will find. It's
just frightful what he does to his computers to bring
you this fine art!
Is
it draggin' butt or laggin' jet? Or maybe it's just Jet
Lag from the many "life flights" of MacMonkies'
Bradford Wiles! This piece started out in Bryce, but
quickly warped from blurry eyes and a touch of Photoshop.
Enjoy!
Thanks

FLOWN THE COUPE
Two
morons stand on a cliff with their arms outstretched.
One
has some budgies lined up on each arm, the other has
parrots lined up on his arms. After a couple of minutes,
they both leap off the cliff and fall to the ground.
Laying next to each other in intensive care at the hospital,
one
moron says to the other, "I don't think much of this
budgie jumping." The other moron replies, "Yeah,
I'm not too keen on this paragliding either."
