and sees a frog on the side of the road. As he comes closer,
the frog starts to talk.
"Kiss
me and I will turn into a princess."
The guy picks the
frog up and puts it in his pocket. The frog starts shouting,
"Hey! Didn't you hear me? I'm a Princess. Just kiss me and
I will be yours."
The guy takes the
frog out of his pocket and smiles at it and puts it back. The
frog is really frustrated. "I don't get it. Why won't you
kiss me? I will turn into a beautiful
princess and do anything you ask."
The guy says, "Look,
I'm a computer geek. I don't have time for girls. But a talking
frog is cool!"

fine photo will bring the great outdoors straight to your desktop
and have you longing for Spring!
Also adding splendor to

critter just to let our eyes enjoy this spectacular piece!
Desktop Department!

A pple and Microsoft Fight...Together!- Apple and Microsoft have
joined other companies in writing a letter to the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) on behalf of their customers. Concern was expressed
that companies such as Comcast and Verizon Communications could limit
consumer use of certain "services and destinations"
through broadband. The letter stated that consumers should not
be limited in this way. It is not yet known whether the FCC has
control over this issue, and they declined to comment. Is that like Apples

Back To Apple I - Vince Briel is a computer technician
who has an interest in collecting old models of computers. Briel
could not afford an Apple 1, however, and he decided to build
his own replica of an Apple 1. Currently an Apple 1 can cost
collectors anywhere from $15,000 to $50,000. Briel plans to build
replicas of the Apple 1 in his garage and sell them from $150
to $200. The original Apple 1 machines were built in Steve Job's
parent's garage and sold for $666.66. - Wired

Man - John Lennon's "stash box" was one of various
Beatles items being sold at an auction in London yesterday. The
box is shaped like a barrel and made out of leather, and Lennon
apparently used it to hide Marijuana from his housekeeper. Other
Beatles memorabilia for sale were some tapes of Lennon talking
with his step daughter, a drum of McCartney's, and a Christmas
card written by Lennon shortly before he died. Leave it to Lennon...

Have you Heard?
New Rumor Site
- MacMonkies
recently learned of a new rumors site called LoopRumors.
It is said that LoopRumors.com
will be geared to providing Apple enthusiasts with a one-stop-shop
for speculative information and news gathered from reliable sources.
The site promises to offer updates on a daily basis to keep the
news and rumors current. Unique "freebies" and contests
will be available to visitors, however we can not elaborate on
details. The design and layout of the site is said to be simple,
yet intuitive and user-friendly. There will be no sign-up fees
or access charges to the user, as advertising dollars and sponsors
will finance the cost of the site. LoopRumors is scheduled to
open on Sunday, December 1, 2002. Keep them Bananas peeled!

GETTIN' DA WOIM
Very early one morning
two birds are sitting at the side of a large puddle of oil. They
see a worm on the other side. So...the one flies over and the
other one swims through-which one gets to the worm first? The
one who swam, of course, because "Da oily boid gets da woim."

THE GOLDEN AGE
OF MEMORY
Two old ladies have
played bridge together for many years, and naturally they have
gotten to know each other pretty well. One day, during a game
of cards, one lady suddenly looks up at the other and says, "I
realize we've known each other for many years, but for the life
of me, I just can't bring it to mind. Would you please tell me
your name again, dear?"
There is dead silence
for a couple of minutes, then the other lady responds, "How
soon do you need to know?"
THE PASSWORD
While his father
was tapping away on his computer, his ten year-old daughter sneaked
up behind him. Then she turned and ran into the kitchen, squealing
to the rest of the family, "I know Daddy's password! I know
Daddy's password!"
"What is it?
her sister asked eagerly.
Proudly she replied,
"Asterisk, asterisk, asterisk, asterisk, asterisk!"
BUMP IN THE NIGHT
A man was walking
home alone late one night when he hears a... BUMP... BUMP...
BUMP... behind him.
Walking faster he
looks back, and makes out the image of an upright coffin banging
its way down the middle of the street towards him.
BUMP...BUMP...BUMP...
Terrified, the man
begins to run towards his home, the coffin bouncing quickly behind
him...faster...faster...
BUMP... BUMP...
BUMP...
He runs up to his
door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams
and locks the door behind him.
However, the coffin
crashes through his door, with the lid of the coffin clapping...
Clappity-BUMP...
Clappity-BUMP... Clappity-BUMP...
on the heels of
the terrified man.
Rushing upstairs
to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart is pounding;
his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps. With
a loud CRASH the coffin starts breaking down the door. Bumping
and clapping towards him. The man screams and reaches for something
heavy, anything...his hand comes to rest on a large bottle of
Robitussin. Desperate, he throws the Robitussin as hard as he
can at the apparition and...
The coffin stops!
