Another Christmas Carol? - Every day a peddler pulled
his cart of wool from his home to the village market. It was
a long trip. He had to travel around the perimeter of a large
lake that was owned by the town tycoon, a modern-day scrooge.
One day during the winter the lake frozen over. The peddler realized
that he could cut off two miles from his trip if he crossed over
the lake. He was spotted halfway across the lake by the tycoon.
Scrooge came racing out of his mansion and screamed at the peddler,
"I'll be darned if I let anyone pull the wool over my ice!"
Just A Thought - If you give it all you've
got, you might end up with nothing. But if you don't give it
anything at all, what do you have to gain?

Today's Smirk - A woman had twins, and
gave them up for adoption. One of them went to a family in Egypt
and was named Amal. The other went to a family in Spain;
they named him Juan. Years later, Juan sent a picture
of himself to his mom. Upon receiving the picture, she told her
husband that she wished she also had a picture of Amal. Her husband
responded, "But honey, they are twins -- if you've seen
Juan, you've seen Amal."
Quote of the
Day - Conditions
are never just right. People who delay action until all factors
are favorable do nothing.

Oh Be Careful Little Students What You Download - Nearly
one hundred students at the U.S. Naval Academy had their laptops
taken away last week. Officials took the laptops and are searching
them for "digital songs or other copyrighted material."
Perhaps this was done in response to a letter from entertainment
groups asking many colleges and universities to get tough on
students for downloading copyrighted material. Students with
such material found on their hard drives will either face "court
martial or expulsion."

A blind man with

quite strange. So, he decides to find out what's going on.
The store manager
approaches the blind man swinging the dog and says, "Pardon

The blind man says,
"No thanks. I'm just looking around."
