Pic of the Day! - Ever had one of those
days where you get up, look around, and ask yourself, "What's
the heck is going on?!!" Then, go back to bed, get back
up, take a cold shower, rub your eyes, and to your ongoing disbelief,
realize that things still are as crazy as they seem! Today' s
Pic of the Day is proof
positive that some day's are better left staying in bed. Check
it out!
Today's Smirk:
Foot to the Floor
- An exasperated caller to Dell Computer Tech Support couldn't
get her new Dell Computer to turn on. After ensuring the computer
was plugged in, the technician asked her what happened when she
pushed the power button. Her response: "I pushed and pushed
on the foot pedal and nothing happens."
The "foot pedal"
turned out to be the computer's mouse.

Happy Weekend!
- Howdy there folks! Friday the 13th has come and gone and the
weekend is officially here! And yes, we're still cleanin' up
them Monkie messes. =) But we should be back in full swing at
the beginning of next week with all kinds of new goodies including
a slightly modified format. All the same goodies and more will
be here, just spread out a bit better.
In the mean time,
we have added new entries the Software
Updates and you can also check out the recent Desktop
and Icon additions to the GUI
department. See you soon!

At The Top
Who
Let The Monkies Out?!
- What happened here? Where'd everything go?!! Everything's kosher in
the Monkie Den. =) It's just that due to the Monkie messes the
last few days, the inspiration to shake things up a little bit,
and the need for some sort of transition, we thought we'd throw
in a BIG FAT MONKIE WRENCH and really get your eyes a rollin'!
So while we're re-orangutanging
the place, we thought you'd like a dose of real fine Icons and
Desktops. And that's just what we have on hand -- 5 New Desktops
in the Gallery and 4 New Icon
Sets on Page 24 of the Icon
Department.
While you're swingin'
over to grab your GUI, we'll be adding a little bit here and
a little bit...mmm, and a little bit more here. No sense
in puttin' it over there! So stop back often.
Finally, be sure
to stop back at the beginning of next week as we will begin our
Monkie Days of Christmas by posting your Holiday Pics and Icons!
Thanks for your
ongoing patience and we hope to see you back real soon!

NEW! MacMonkies
35th Icon Edition!
- Woo Hoo!
They've come at last: another amazing collection of great icons
from the Mac web's finest! Let's dig in!
Happicon - From the master of grins,
Rene from Happicon,
we proudly present Smiles©!
This amazing set of three plus one Grumph! will have your desktop
grinnin' ear to ear with the greatest of ease. A must have set!
Alex Rabino - Another wonderfully creative
set from Alex Rabino
is Cube Icons ! Alex manages
to take his creative skills to a new level with this pair and
a "plug" for his pixel pushin' abilities. Marvelous!
Agrapha Icons
- For cryin'
out loud! Check out the cool critters in Animals
2 from Agrapha
Icons' Harvey Lubin. This great collection of fuzzy animals
will reach right out with their photo realism and press a paw
or two square on your nose! Grab 'em before they grab you!
James Cukr - Wrappin' up this week's
crazy collection is James Cukr,
a cool cat from Colorado with C7
Jaguar! Your desktop is just the spot for this Mac Jaguar
set of classy cat set. You won't want to leave home without them,
or your Mac!
Check
'em out!

NEW! 5 New Desktops
In The Gallery
- Mmm, mmm,
mmm! There's creativity at its best with this week's desktop
collection. Close your mouth, wipe off the drool, and start staring
again! Here we go!
Desktop Department!
- Somewhere
between daylight and dreamland, our latest contributor - Glenn Fajardo
- brings you an amazing piece titled Ambisonic.
There's no way words can give this awe inspiring work the justice
it deserves. A must-see for the dreamy old eyeballs!
Look! Mr.
Bob Wiley tosses a stronger-than-steel Mac Desktop your way
with Patterns 2! Dude
(and dudettes)! This is a way cool work from a man that knows
no end to creativity. Well, as long as it's not PURPLE! =)
Heads up! Who needs
Windows when you can have Moosehead
Lake from Peter
J. Sucy?! Peter really pulls all the stops with this excellent
work, a composite of several photos he took around the Lake.
Cool, cool, cool!
3-D Delectables -
WOW! Monkies are known to become speechless with excellent works
as with the likes of Free Your Heart
from Prevision's Peter
Lenler. This absolutely amazing piece is guaranteed to awe inspire
your Monkie tongue quite numb! Gotta grab it!
Puttin' the plug
in this week's pixel pleasure is MacMonkies' Bradford Wiles with
In The Clouds! Of course
we all know that is where Mr. Monkies' Head is 99% of the time.
But this realistically made piece was created while Brad's pixel
pushin' pointer finger was buried deep in Bryce 5 and Photoshop
7. Though it looks much like a real pic, it's just a pixel of
your imagination! Enjoy!
MANY THANKS
To:
Alex,
Bob, Glenn, Harvey,
James, Peter L., Peter S., and Rene-
You guys
is the coolest!
Thanks for gracing our pages with your work of excellence!
THANK YOU!

the flea lost out on the brains he won...less than he had to
begin with). Oh well. Onward and upward.
