Just Anybody - This is a story about four people named
Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an
important
job to be done
and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody
could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry
about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought
Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody
wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody
when Nobody did what Anyone could have.

What did the neurotic pig say to the farmer?
You take
me for grunted.
NOT QUITE PIG LATIN
Howard County
Police officers still write their reports by hand, and
the data is entered later by a computer tech
into their database. One theft report stated that a farmer
had lost 2,025 pigs. Thinking that to be an error, the
tech called the farmer directly."
Is it true
Mr. (Smith) that you lost 2,025 pigs?" she
asked.
"Yeth," lisped
the farmer.
Being a Howard
County girl herself, the tech entered: "Subject lost
2 sows and 25 pigs."
You'll
have to use half a brain on this one!

Alex Salkever of BusinessWeek has suggested that Apple

that if "Apple could weave Bochs into the operating system" and
run Windows code in an upcoming version of OSX, they
could compete more equally with Microsoft. Now
that, my friends, would be the ultimate Switcher bait.

At
The Top -
It's time to enjoy another Wednesday Desktop Edition
here at the ole Monkie Zoo! The great Submissions keep
coming in, and we even got the Main Monkie off his
butt and working on some new 3-D rendered
work. Till then, let's gander at all the latest in
the Desktop Department. Let's roll!
New
GOO!
New Desktops
- This cool collection of Desktops was actually
kind of hard to categorize. Nevertheless, it's an awesome
set. So, let's get to diggin'!
3
Dimensions - Our sole entry into the 3-D
Department this week is another amazing work from
Terraholic's Martin
Schulte called Heli
Skiing.
This is one of the many wonderful works from Martin's
gallery made with terragen,
a photorealistic landscape generator. It
is now available for public beta testing for the
Mac
platform. YAY!
Desktops -
Rick Weiss, the first of 2 of our latest contributors,
adds For Columbia to our Galleries. This beautiful
pic was taken with his digital camera and pays tribute
to the crew members lost in the Space Shuttle Columbia.
Note the illumination of the flag even against
the dark sky...wow!
Next
in line of new coming contributors is Stefan Poulos
sporting the desktop titled Aristotle.
This beautiful work from the collections of PoulosDesign reminds
us that "We are what we repeatedly do...Think Different!" I
second that motion!
Long
time no see from Eye9design's Patrick
O'Kelly! He seems to have returned, well, from another
planet with Widggie
Desktop - a very nice platter to serve
up your Widgets made with Konfabulator!
Mmm, mmm good! Quite the tasty treat from Sir Patrick.
Just keep an arm's length from his laboratories! =)
The
founder of EA Design, Mr. Ed Allen, privileges us with
another of his fine works titled Further
Down the Spiral.
Ed always manages to give things a new twist and still
keeps it simple. No clutter here. Just excellence at
its best!
Talk
about your addiction to Aqua! Radial from
PlasmaDesign gives you your Aqua GUI fix and then some!
This outstanding selection from Rob Randtoul barely
touches the surface of the eye-popping work you will
find in his collections. A must-have piece!
Adding
a bit of dessert to this fine selection of Desktops
is Apple Galaxy from
Michele Bugliaro. Michele's eyes are always peeled
on what is on the other side and gives us a good glance
into the future skies of Apple. Enjoy!
Thanks
